Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the company's data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architecture;

• Create and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation;

• Develop and sustain robust, scalable data pipelines;

• Execute database modeling adhering to design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball);

• Configure and manage data infrastructure on AWS;

• Support and enhance the existing infrastructure;

• Orchestrate data workflows utilizing dbt and Prefect;

• Work with data warehouse platforms such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Snowflake;

• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of data systems;

• Establish and enforce data governance across the organization;

• Implement data engineering best practices and measures for data quality;

• Provide assistance to governance and back-office teams;

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, technology, and other business units;

• Develop automations, dashboards, and metrics that fulfill business requirements;

• Translate business rules into technical data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed or currently pursuing in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering;

• Strong proficiency in SQL and programming (preferably Python);

• Experience with PostgreSQL;

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure;

• Proficient with data orchestration tools: Prefect and dbt;

• Knowledge of data warehouse platforms: Snowflake or Redshift;

• Understanding of design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball) and/or database modeling;

• Knowledge of data architectures and modeling for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse structures;

• Expertise in data solution architecture.
