This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and uphold automated, scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, and cloud-based technologies.
• Integrate, transform, and ensure the accuracy of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Create and oversee analytics-ready data models and workflows tailored for reporting, self-service analytics, and data science applications.
• Apply GitLab CI/CD methodologies for dependable, version-controlled, and repeatable analytics and data engineering operations.
• Design, develop, and launch interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
• Conduct data mining, cleansing, and manipulation to facilitate statistical analyses, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
• Undertake comprehensive analytical and modeling tasks, including exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model validation, and documentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, software developers, and stakeholders to convert business requirements into data models, pipelines, and visualizations.
• Compile metadata, data dictionaries, and technical documentation.
• Generate both recurring and ad-hoc reports for leadership.
• Address urgent and ad-hoc data requests and contribute to collaborative research and analysis projects.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship on analytics best practices, Python scripting, data modeling, and workflow automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data analysis, or at least 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Git/GitLab.
• Proven experience in constructing ETL/ELT pipelines with CI/CD and adhering to data engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in crafting executive-ready dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to analyze large, intricate datasets and convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in fast-paced, agile settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Must currently hold or be able to secure Public Trust (BI Full 6C (T4)).
• Availability to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends, as necessary.
• Preferred: Experience with Databricks, AWS and other cloud platforms, AI/ML, advanced data modeling, MLOps, Airflow, MLflow, government or regulated data environments, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, mentoring, and analytics standards.
