This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +18 more states.
• Analyze, interpret, and reverse-engineer existing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) workflows and data transformation logic.
• Document and comprehend current data flows, dependencies, and legacy data structures.
• Create data models optimized for Snowflake and develop ELT patterns that enhance performance and scalability.
• Write performance-sensitive SQL and execute ELT transformations within the Snowflake environment.
• Reconstruct inefficient or “stair-step” legacy models into normalized, maintainable, and scalable architectures.
• Cleanse legacy artifacts, addressing redundant columns, null-handling inconsistencies, and outdated dependencies.
• Design conformed and curated data objects to fulfill analytics and reporting requirements.
• Develop modular, testable transformation pipelines utilizing DBT or other approved transformation tools.
• Oversee Snowflake development environments, including roles, access control, and governance for development activities.
• Establish data validation and reconciliation strategies to compare results between Oracle and Snowflake.
• Implement data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate closely with QA and review teams to confirm the validity of transformation logic and performance results.
• Must reside within the United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data consulting positions.
• Extensive experience in building data pipelines and transformation logic in Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills with an emphasis on performance optimization.
• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar modern data transformation tools.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and warehouse design patterns.
• Experience in validating data migrations between legacy and modern platforms.
• Ability to work independently in complex migration environments while collaborating with cross-functional QA and review teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
