Data Collection Technician – Seasonal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough assessments that accurately reflect the existing field conditions.

• Precisely document data in accordance with established standards to ensure that the resulting analysis is clear and easily comprehensible for office-based project staff.

• Engage with the team to maintain consistency and precision in data collection methodologies.

• Employ smartphones and/or tablets to gather and record pertinent data with accuracy and efficiency.

• Use GPS software and/or geospatial coordinates to navigate the designated territory and client locations.

• Effectively recognize items that require documentation in the field with minimal supervisory guidance.

• Achieve production goals and appreciate the significance of project deliverables and milestones.

• Adhere to safety protocols consistently and take part in all safety initiatives.

• Be willing to aid in power restoration efforts during natural disaster events.

• Periodic overnight travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in utility distribution or transmission systems (Journeyman Linemen, Engineers, or operations).

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, which will be verified.

• Ability to pass a drug screening test is mandatory.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams.

• Physical ability to work extended hours in challenging conditions.

• Proficient in using mobile technology.

• A smartphone with an active data plan is necessary.

• Capability to cover travel and meal expenses until reimbursement is provided.

• Must be physically able to walk along power line right-of-ways under various weather and terrain conditions as outlined in the job description.
