Data Centre Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Contributes to the Data Strategy and takes ownership of converting this strategy into a well-defined roadmap for delivery projects.

• Responsible for organization-wide data enhancement initiatives, facilitating data governance forums, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business.

• Shapes and supervises transformation projects aimed at improving the quality and consistency of data, utilizing this data to generate meaningful insights and business value.

• Manages essential stakeholders within the Mace leadership community and board, fostering the growth of data experts within Digital, including the Mace Data Hub team.

• Offers thought leadership, best practices, and innovative ideas to Mace's data roadmap, ensuring the successful delivery, execution, and attainment of team key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Oversees team, supply chain, and outsourced partners, providing advice on strategy and contributing to efficient project delivery.

• Responsible for delivering comprehensive expertise and guidance regarding the latest technology and market trends. Advocates for recommendations to ensure that best-in-class technology is recognized and evaluated by the business.

• Actively provides thought leadership in the domain, promoting the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and innovations that provide a competitive edge for the business.

• Collaboratively works towards the shared objective of achieving net zero carbon transition, and shares responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the related carbon emissions and reductions during project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading and executing data improvement, governance, and transformation projects.

• Proven success in delivering multiple complex projects with budgets exceeding £1 million.

• In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data management, and relevant supporting technologies.

• Experience in presenting intricate concepts and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, including Board-level executives.

• Strong capabilities in project estimation, planning, delivery, and management.

• Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and effectively engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and Board-level executives.

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams of over 10 professionals.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the capability to build, maintain, and nurture strategic internal and external partnerships.

• Experience in driving data quality, governance, and business improvement initiatives throughout an organization.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
