Data Center Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee design evaluations and technical validation of cutting-edge thermal management systems for hyperscale data centers, emphasizing high-efficiency, liquid-first cooling configurations.

• Develop and model cooling infrastructure, which includes chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and distribution piping, tailored for AI compute thermal loads.

• Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling to enhance airflow and liquid flow, thermal containment, and overall efficiency.

• Offer engineering support during construction and commissioning to guarantee that mechanical systems are installed and optimized for peak PUE/WUE performance.

• Ensure that designs adhere to ASHRAE guidelines, local building regulations, and corporate sustainability objectives.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to advance business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Over 6 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale HVAC or critical cooling systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in water-side design, including fluid dynamics and pumping systems.

• Designs must conform to ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and corporate sustainability requirements.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent chartership is preferred.

• Direct experience with liquid-to-chip or rear-door heat exchanger (RDHX) cooling systems is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
