Data & BI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the Odos transaction and event database (Redis, PostgreSQL, or a similar platform).

• Develop ETL pipelines utilizing on-chain data sources, APIs, and internal services.

• Guarantee data integrity, consistency, and query performance across various chains and order types.

• Establish and monitor key metrics (e.g., total volume, route count, fee revenue, average slippage, gas savings, wallet activity).

• Create and uphold Tableau dashboards and automated reporting for the leadership team.

• Collaborate with product and growth teams to craft analytics specific to campaigns and features (Protected Swaps, Multi-Token Swaps, etc.).

• Integrate and evaluate loyalty program data — wallet tiers, reward distribution, retention, and ROI.

• Partner with marketing and growth teams to attribute traffic and assess referral or loyalty campaigns.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on event schemas and optimize pipeline performance.

• Assist finance and operations with data exports for audits, investors, and DAO reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or BI development, ideally within fintech, crypto, or trading sectors.

• Strong proficiency in SQL along with experience in Redis, PostgreSQL, and time-series data.

• Familiarity with Tableau (or a comparable BI tool) — including data modeling, calculated fields, and dashboard automation.

• Proficient in Python or a similar scripting language for ETL processes and data analysis.

• Knowledge of on-chain data, DEX trade logs, or blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Dune, Flipside, The Graph).

• Comprehension of DeFi protocols, swaps, liquidity pools, and wallet behaviors.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to transform raw data into comprehensible business insights.
