Data Architect Specialist – Databricks, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define, refine, and distribute the Data and Artificial Intelligence Reference Architecture, setting standards, frameworks, and best practices throughout the organization.

• Assess the existing Data and AI landscape and recommend scalable, resilient architectures in line with business objectives.

• Lead the advancement of the corporate data platform utilizing Databricks, ensuring scalability, governance, and high availability.

• Design and enhance the corporate AI Agents platform, advocating for the adoption of Generative AI and AI-First architectures to expedite solution development.

• Establish standards for data ingestion, transformation, integration, modeling, quality, security, governance, and provisioning.

• Implement and advocate for Data Mesh, Data as a Product, and Federated Governance practices, enabling domain autonomy while adhering to shared corporate standards.

• Create and develop reusable components, pipelines, models, AI agents, frameworks, and accelerators to enhance squad delivery.

• Organize and advance a corporate marketplace for exchanging data products, models, agents, components, and reusable assets.

• Provide technical direction for the architecture and execution of strategic Data and Artificial Intelligence initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.

• Act as a technical reference for Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and AI teams, encouraging best practices, architectural reviews, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Product, and Business teams to create a modern, secure platform ready for organizational growth.

• Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices related to Data Architecture, Generative AI, MLOps, DataOps, and Platform Engineering, fostering ongoing innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Solution Architecture.

• Experience in defining enterprise data architectures within cloud environments.

• Advanced understanding of Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Practical experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and distributed processing.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling, Data Warehousing, and Lakehouse architecture.

• Experience in data governance, data cataloging, data quality, and information security.

• Knowledge of implementing concepts like Data Mesh, Data as a Product, and Federated Governance.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and DataOps/MLOps practices.

• Experience with microservices-based architectures and APIs.

• Excellent communication skills, technical leadership abilities, and capacity to influence technology and business teams.

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or intelligent agent architectures.

• Knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps platforms.

• Experience in building corporate AI platforms.

• Familiarity with data product marketplaces or self-service platforms.
