Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Analyze current JIMS, CFO, CCM, Courtroom Utilization, Courtroom Activity, and Case Adjournment data marts.

• Conduct thorough data profiling and source system assessments.

• Architect the Enterprise Data Warehouse framework.

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Establish Facts and Dimensions for star/snowflake schemas.

• Create data mapping specifications.

• Revise JOIN source system data models.

• Formulate transition strategies from current to future-state architecture.

• Design and implement SQL-driven data warehouse solutions.

• Stage and transform source data.

• Create ETL processes.

• Ensure data quality and integrity validation.

• Assist in enhancing and fixing data marts.

• Generate Power BI reports for testing and validation.

• Support the enterprise reporting architecture.

• Enhance reporting performance and governance.

• Facilitate historical data preservation and self-service reporting.

• Establish data architecture standards, principles, and governance.

• Execute architecture reviews.

• Align solutions with the Government of Alberta Enterprise Architecture (GAEA).

• Advocate for data quality and data-sharing practices.

• Offer architectural advice across various projects.

• Lead design discussions and architecture evaluations.

• Present recommendations and solution alternatives.

• Mentor project teams.

• Engage in project planning and estimation activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise solution design, planning, implementation, and support.

• More than 8 years of experience in enterprise database architecture documentation.

• At least 8 years of knowledge in enterprise architecture principles and best practices.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA).

• A Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or a related field is required.
