Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Define the architecture and governance of conversational data and support for artificial intelligence agents, establishing sources, logical models, quality rules, traceability, privacy, ownership, and information dependencies.

• Ensure that the data required by the solution is identifiable, reliable, governable, accessible, and suitable for conversational experiences and AI capabilities.

• Lead the identification and characterization of relevant data sources for prioritized use cases.

• Define conceptual and logical data models for conversational data, user context, Customer 360, interactions, sessions, intents, entities, events, responses, escalations, outcomes, and traceability and audit metadata.

• Identify master sources, record systems, and information owners.

• Define dependencies between data, capabilities, agents, integrations, and use cases.

• Establish criteria for quality, completeness, consistency, freshness, uniqueness, and availability.

• Define guidelines for data lifecycle, versioning, retention, and deletion.

• Identify personal, sensitive, confidential, or regulated data.

• Design principles of privacy, minimization, segregation, and authorized use of information.

• Define governance roles and responsibilities: data owners, data stewards, custodians, and consumers.

• Design minimum metadata for traceability, auditing, and explanation of data usage.

• Document information dependencies to prioritize agents and capabilities.

• Evaluate availability, quality, structure, and access constraints of the sources.

• Analyze the state of Customer 360 and other corporate data capabilities.

• Participate in workshops with business teams, architecture, engineering, AI, security, and governance.

• Ensure consistency among data model, target architecture, integrations, and roadmap.

• Propose measurable quality and governance indicators during implementation.

• Identify risks, assumptions, gaps, and pending decisions related to data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.

• Professional experience in data architecture, data governance, or information platform design.

• Experience in defining conceptual, logical, and physical models.

• Experience with enterprise data architecture and distributed ecosystems.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling.

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses.

• Knowledge of catalogs and metadata.

• Knowledge of data quality and observability.

• Knowledge of lineage and traceability.

• Knowledge of data governance.

• Knowledge of privacy and information protection.

• Knowledge of digital and conversational interaction data.

• Ability to analyze heterogeneous sources, APIs, events, and documentary repositories.

• Experience documenting architecture, decisions, dependencies, and governance principles.

• Ability to translate business needs into data structures and rules.

• Desirable: experience with data for generative AI, agents, or conversational solutions.

• Desirable: knowledge of Customer 360, CDP, or profiling platforms.

• Desirable: experience in regulated sectors or with personal and sensitive information.

• Desirable: knowledge of Colombian regulations on personal data protection.
