This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Collaborating with Solutions, Engineering, Data, and IT teams to establish target architectures and long-term strategic roadmaps.
• Converting complex business requirements into practical, sustainable architectures.
• Defining and overseeing Enterprise Data Models and Domains, extending beyond conventional analytics to encompass AI/ML workloads.
• Designing for "AI-readiness" by incorporating Feature Stores, Vector Databases, and other technologies into our long-term strategy.
• Investigating and verifying new solutions within the data platform realm based on business needs or research findings.
• Executing technical Proof of Concepts, documenting the outcomes, and supporting teams in their industrialization.
• Keeping abreast of technological advancements to help teams minimize technical debt and adopt appropriate tools.
• Partnering with Data Governance and AI teams to enhance architecture governance practices continuously.
• Creating and maintaining policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure a unified framework across the data platform.
• Ensuring that architectures comply with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical standards in AI/ML model deployment.
• Serving as a hands-on mentor to Data Engineering and Analytics teams, guiding them on daily data modeling patterns, best practices, and execution decisions.
• Providing advice to business and technical stakeholders on self-service data platform functionalities to maximize value.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, BI tools, and embedded analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in multi-domain analytical architectures such as data mesh, medallion architecture, and self-service analytics & BI.
• Direct experience with Databricks is essential.
• Experience in designing enterprise data models, familiarity with various data modeling patterns, data engineering practices, and data management standards (e.g., DAMA).
• A minimum of 5 years of focus on architecture (in areas such as data architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture).
• A broad understanding of the technical elements of data integration, including data catalogs, data quality, solution maintainability, performance, and security.
• Practical experience with concepts like MDM, RDM, CDP, ETL, ELT, rETL, SQL, noSQL, and near-real-time analytics.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities; proficient in verbal and written communication; capable of facilitation.
• Capability to mentor and guide teams, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Relevant certifications (such as CDMP/DAMA, TOGAF, CIPP) are advantageous.
