Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance integration solutions utilizing Informatica IDMC/CDI.

• Create scalable ETL/ELT pipelines suitable for both enterprise and cloud environments.

• Establish standards for development, architecture, naming conventions, parameterization, and component reuse.

• Develop and review mappings, tasks, task flows, and integration frameworks.

• Define strategies for batch, incremental, CDC, and near-real-time data ingestion.

• Design integrations that encompass databases, APIs, files, SaaS applications, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse platforms.

• Build and optimize solutions through advanced SQL and Python.

• Implement and oversee performance tuning strategies, including Pushdown Optimization.

• Set standards for error handling, logging, auditing, reconciliation, and observability.

• Assist in making decisions regarding data architecture and modeling.

• Organize CI/CD processes and deployment strategies for IDMC solutions.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.

• Analyze and resolve critical issues within production environments.

• Provide support for estimates, technical planning, and implementation strategies.

• Transform functional and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Facilitate technical discussions with clients, architects, and stakeholders.

• Act as a technical reference and mentor for junior and mid-level professionals.

• Assess new IDMC features and recommend enhancements to architecture and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Informatica IDMC/IICS, especially in Cloud Data Integration (CDI).

• Advanced expertise in ETL/ELT solution architecture and development.

• Proficient in SQL, with a focus on query optimization and processing large volumes of data.

• Strong experience with Python for automation, integration, and data processing tasks.

• Familiarity with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern data platforms.

• Proficient in REST/SOAP API integrations.

• Understanding of batch, near-real-time, and event-driven integration patterns.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automation of deployment processes.

• Skilled in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex data pipelines.

• Knowledge of data security, governance, and quality standards.

• Experience in defining development standards and best practices.

• Capable of providing technical leadership and mentoring.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently in highly complex environments.

• Ideally, 6+ years of experience in Data Integration, ETL/ELT, or Data Engineering, with substantial proven experience in Informatica IDMC/CDI and delivering medium to high-complexity solutions.

• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with other IDMC modules, PowerCenter-to-IDMC migrations, advanced Azure, Snowflake, dbt, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Kafka, Terraform, regulated environments, and Informatica/Azure/Databricks/Snowflake certifications, as well as advanced or fluent English proficiency.
