Data Annotation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Annotate both 2D and 3D objects within images, video, and LiDAR point clouds, which includes vehicles, machinery, individuals, signage, and environmental elements.

• Create and uphold segmentation, object tracking, pose, and keypoint annotations throughout sequences.

• Implement annotation guidelines that encompass class definitions, occlusion rules, object thresholds, and criteria for inclusion/exclusion.

• Review your work, respond to quality assurance feedback, and maintain established quality and accuracy standards.

• Recognize and escalate ambiguous scenes, sensor artifacts, tooling problems, and gaps in specifications.

• Document issues related to data quality and tooling with precise details and reproduction steps.

• Take part in calibration sessions, guideline reviews, and team standups.

• Share insights to enhance annotation guidelines, taxonomies, and documentation of edge cases.

• Produce precise and consistent annotations at the expected volume while ensuring the reliability of datasets.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to maintain accuracy during repetitive and visually demanding tasks.

• Strong spatial reasoning abilities, including the capability to interpret 3D environments and comprehend object size, position, and orientation.

• Proficiency in learning and navigating complex, purpose-built software, including keyboard shortcuts and tooling features.

• Experience in a fast-paced, scaled environment with established productivity, quality, or accuracy benchmarks.

• Familiarity with image annotation GenAI workflows.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet.

• Capability to work on a company-provided machine within a controlled environment.

• Experience with tools for image, video, LiDAR, or 3D annotation.

• Background in subsurface utility engineering, construction surveying, GIS, or spatial interpretation of physical environments.

• Experience using AutoCAD or similar software.

• Background in construction, mining, agriculture, industrial operations, or heavy equipment environments.

• Familiarity with point cloud data, sensor fusion, or camera-LiDAR calibration.

• Experience with datasets related to autonomous vehicles, robotics, or machine perception.
