This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead agile software development initiatives in the capacity of a Technical Leader.

• Address audit requirements and play a role in the RFP process.

• Ensure adherence to data governance principles and best practices.

• Align business objectives with IT strategy to achieve desired outcomes.

• Engage in hands-on data and integration engineering, including the development of high-quality code.

• Provide assistance in problem-solving, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and coaching.

• Identify and implement enhancements to improve system reliability, security, and performance.

• Develop engaging data visualizations and present value propositions to senior management.

• Potentially oversee a team.

• Establish strategic IT goals and guide team members towards product strategy.

• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers regarding software development tasks.

• Assess task feasibility, time requirements, and effort involved.

• Offer updates to user communities and development teams.

• Supervise projects, recognize potential issues, and steer projects to successful outcomes.

• Delegate and monitor tasks among programmers, analysts, project managers, supervisors, and managers.

• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation and management of budgets.

• Mentor and assess staff performance.

• Continue to engage in hands-on programming and analytical tasks.

• Track project requests and regularly provide updates on project status.

• Evaluate work effort for new project requests.

• Plan development and support activities for a specific functional systems area.

• Review the work of subordinate staff and compile performance reports.

• Participate in planning and budgeting processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of relevant experience.

• At least 3–4 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, secure IT software.

• Relevant IT work experience.

• A bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science is listed as a required qualification.

• Training in Agile and Design Thinking through Coursera.

• Strong critical-thinking skills.

• Proven problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• AWS Certification.

• Big Data/Hadoop Certification.

• ServiceNow training.

• Ability to comprehend business and IT strategies in relation to applications.

• Proficiency in writing quality code and executing data and integration engineering tasks.

• Capability to work with data governance, system reliability, security, and performance aspects.
