Data Analytics Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical and analytical leader for projects involving T-MSIS Analytic Files (TAF) and Medicaid administrative data.

• Hands-on analysis, interpretation, and validation of TAF data.

• Oversee analytic tasks while comprehending dependencies related to data, requirements, methodologies, timelines, and deliverables.

• Identify and assist in resolving data quality and usability issues pertaining to TAF/T-MSIS.

• Mentor analysts and technical team members.

• Evaluate analytic results to ensure accuracy and appropriate interpretation.

• Collaborate directly with CMS and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, address issues, and propose solutions.

• Simplify complex data insights and technical challenges into clear updates and presentations for executive audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience with T-MSIS Analytic Files (TAF) in the context of Medicaid analytics, research, reporting, program evaluation, or similar activities.

• Profound knowledge of Medicaid eligibility/enrollment, claims, and/or encounter data.

• Proven experience in addressing data quality and usability challenges related to TAF/T-MSIS.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex data analytics initiatives or teams.

• Strong client and stakeholder engagement experience; prior CMS experience is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills with both technical teams and senior/executive stakeholders.

• Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other similar analytical tools is preferred.

• Experience with multi-state Medicaid data, TAF data quality, CMS Medicaid programs, managed care encounter data, or legacy MAX data is highly desirable.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

• Will be processed for a Public Trust Clearance.
