This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversees the data strategy and governance for 350, collaborating with staff throughout the organization to establish organization-level KPIs and measurement frameworks.
• Cultivates a data-driven culture across the organization, fostering a shared understanding of data's value, embedding best practices, and engaging with staff at all levels—including the Senior Leadership Team—to ensure that planning and decision-making are informed by evidence.
• Manages 350's BigQuery data warehouse: responsible for designing and maintaining data models, optimizing query performance, managing access controls, and ensuring the warehouse is a dependable foundation for all organizational reporting.
• Directs business intelligence and reporting initiatives: develops and maintains Metabase dashboards, oversees ELT pipelines and data transformations sourced from BigQuery, governs user permissions, and guarantees that datasets are reliable, well-documented, and accessible for self-service reporting throughout the organization.
• Owns the strategic roadmap and technical architecture of Salesforce, establishing data governance, security, and quality standards while leading efforts in user adoption and change management.
• Creates dashboards featuring visualizations tailored to facilitate data-driven decision-making for staff across all levels.
• Assists the Organisational Processes Team in providing accessible, up-to-date information regarding performance trends, campaign strategies, milestones, and progress.
• Designs and manages tagging and tracking protocols to enable detailed segmentation and personalized user experiences for supporters.
• Co-leads data privacy, security, and compliance for supporter data (GDPR and other relevant regulations), defining retention policies, access controls, and incident response strategies.
• Develops and enforces data hygiene protocols, initiating and overseeing data cleanup projects.
• Manages external vendors, overseeing everything from project scoping to delivery and ongoing performance management.
• Directly supervises the Senior Data Specialist and Senior CRM Specialists, promoting a collaborative, results-oriented, and healthy team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in leading organization-wide data strategy.
• Outstanding communication and culture-building abilities—capable of fostering a data-centric culture across the organization and engaging confidently with staff at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team.
• At least 6 years of practical implementation experience (Data warehouse/ELT, reporting/BI, CRM), encompassing governance, privacy, and systems integration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including data modeling, cost management, and access control.
• Experience managing data visualization platforms such as Metabase.
• Experience in managing Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with practical experience in writing and optimizing queries, including handling nested/repeated fields, partitioned tables, and cost-efficient query design.
• Extensive experience managing complex projects related to data integration, synchronization, and/or warehousing.
• Understanding of statistical concepts such as significance, sample size, confidence intervals, etc.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices.
• Exceptional team leadership capabilities.
• Strong skills in stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and facilitation.
• Excellent organizational skills, including leading diverse groups, managing priorities across teams, and promoting collaboration across various time zones and cultures.
• Experience with budget management for cloud data platforms and vendor contracts.
