Business Analytics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of analytics and AI-driven workflow initiatives, from defining problems and aligning stakeholders to designing solutions, generating insights, fostering adoption, and achieving measurable business results.

• Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to comprehend planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows, identifying opportunities for enhancement through data, automation, and AI.

• Convert Finance and business challenges into organized analytical frameworks, which include data modeling, KPI design, forecasting, experimentation, and decision-support workflows.

• Create and develop scalable data products, such as pipelines, tables, dashboards, reporting layers, and AI-compatible datasets that facilitate automated, adaptable, and action-oriented Finance analytics.

• Develop and evaluate prototypes for AI-driven Finance workflows, including automated business review narratives, anomaly detection, variance explanations, forecast drivers, natural-language insight discovery, and self-service reporting.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Finance Systems, and central data teams to transition prototypes into reliable, governed, and production-ready solutions.

• Assist in defining and standardizing KPI frameworks for financial metrics to ensure alignment between Finance and business teams.

• Create dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics experiences that enhance adoption, minimize manual reporting, and enable business partners to make quicker, more consistent decisions.

• Analyze business and financial metrics to reveal critical drivers of growth, retention, churn, productivity, and efficiency, and suggest clear, data-driven actions.

• Contribute to the development of scalable, repeatable analytics frameworks and best practices that enhance Finance decision-making and ensure consistency across planning, forecasting, reporting, and business reviews.

• Implement strong governance, quality control, and documentation practices to guarantee that AI-enabled workflows are accurate, explainable, secure, and suitable for Finance decision support.

• Present insights, recommendations, and roadmap trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership through effective storytelling, executive-ready presentations, and concise written narratives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.

• 5-7+ years of experience in analytical domains such as consulting, strategic finance, BizOps, data science, business intelligence, or data engineering.

• Proficient SQL skills with the capability to handle large, complex datasets and multiple data sources.

• Strong experience with BI and visualization tools, including Power BI or equivalent platforms.

• Experience collaborating with Finance, GTM, or business leadership teams to facilitate planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management.

• Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, conduct in-depth analysis, and translate findings into clear business impacts.

• Experience creating scalable dashboards, reporting solutions, data models, or analytics products that enhance self-service and reduce manual labor.

• Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience working across cross-functional teams.

• Outstanding communication skills, with the capability to distill complex analysis, technical concepts, and business trade-offs into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams within cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
