This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of GBCI Certification operations and develop data-infrastructure solutions for effective monitoring and analysis.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment of data-engineering initiatives with GBCI Certification and organizational objectives.
• Design, maintain, and enhance scalable data pipelines focused on integration, quality improvement, and governance.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at establishing robust data infrastructure and refining processes.
• Update stakeholders on the progress of data projects and create informative factsheets and presentations.
• Integrate data infrastructure with reporting frameworks like GRESB and SASB to facilitate the evolution of LEED.
• Construct decision-support systems that integrate with GBCI’s data warehouse to improve business intelligence.
• Define, design, and automate business processes in collaboration with stakeholders through innovative data solutions.
• Assist in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting by enhancing data infrastructure.
• Supervise data quality assurance and act as the data steward for the GBCI Certification team.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, clarity, and consistency of data.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, database administration, data visualization, or a related field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data/Computer Science, or a related analytic or information technology discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Spotfire, Power BI, and/or other data visualization tools is required.
• Experience with SQL databases is essential.
• Familiarity with Snowflake is required.
• Knowledge of Power Automate is necessary.
• Experience with Excel VBA is important.
• Familiarity with Asana is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel are required.
• Python programming experience is preferred.
• Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma and PMP or other project management methodologies is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Exceptional judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
• A detail-oriented mindset is necessary.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important.
• A demonstrated passion and commitment to the mission of USGBC and GBCI is required.
• LEED Green Associate or Sustainability Excellence Associate certification is mandatory, or must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–5:30 PM in a US time zone is required.
