Data Analyst – Regulatory Analytics and Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create dashboards, compliance metrics, and regulatory reports.

• Convert data into actionable insights for stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and regional compliance officers.

• Automate comprehensive compliance-related data solutions, governance controls, and workflows.

• Examine large, intricate datasets and develop scalable, audit-ready data models.

• Transform regulatory and business requests into reports and automated data pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives with analysts, engineers, and compliance teams.

• Develop and sustain high-quality data pipelines and data sources.

• Oversee client data quality monitoring, identify issues, recommend remediations, and ensure timely resolution.

• Assist with ad-hoc data requests for audits, examinations, risk assessments, and business needs.

• Provide clear, data-driven insights that influence compliance strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis and data management within the financial services sector or a regulated industry.

• Practical experience in compliance and regulatory reporting in areas such as AML, KYC, Sanctions, MiCA, or MiFID frameworks.

• Strong grasp of regulatory risk and audit-ready environments.

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions.

• Proficiency in Python libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, and plotly.

• Hands-on experience with dbt or equivalent tools.

• Experience in setting up and managing data pipelines and workflow orchestration.

• Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools like QuickSight, Power BI, or Superset.

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Alignment with Kraken's Tentaclements values.

• A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related technical field is a plus.

• A solid understanding of the cryptocurrency space and financial markets is a plus.
