Data Analyst Internship

• **The Opportunity:**

• We are excited to announce a Data Analyst Internship for qualified candidates. This position encompasses both instructional and technical aspects. You will collaborate with our team of educators to validate and refine the models that underpin our analytics. Our Data Analysts gain insights into our algorithms, the technologies and platforms that support our products, and our proprietary educational content. This expertise will be transformed into actionable tests to create modules aimed at identifying the unique academic needs of each student. You will work alongside innovative team members who aim to enhance education by establishing a robust data infrastructure and insightful analytics.

• **What we are looking for:**

• - **Core skills**

• You have a passion for creative problem solving and are adept at handling messy, real-world data.

• You possess strong math/quantitative skills along with exceptional attention to detail.

• You are inquisitive about how data can enhance learning and improve student outcomes.

• - **Academic & technical background**

• You are pursuing (or have completed) studies in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• You have some coding experience and a keen interest in technology and AI.

• You have experience with at least one of the following:

• - SQL, Python data tools (Pandas, NumPy, or similar)

• - Developing simple data pipelines or analysis scripts in Python

• - **Excel & analysis skills**

• You are proficient in Excel, capable of handling various tasks including:

• - Advanced formulas and functions

• - Tables and formatting

• - Conditional formatting

• - Advanced charting and visualizations

• - Pivot tables and pivot reporting

• - Utilizing Excel effectively for analysis beyond basic spreadsheets

• - Data tables, simulations, and Solver

• - (Bonus) VBA and macros

• - **AI, data, and analytics work you will support**

• Collaborate with AI tools and workflows to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Engage in data mining and cleaning from various sources (web, internal trackers, marketing platforms).

• Assist in projects related to AI and chatbot development for ConnectPrep’s programs and website.

• Carry out SEO and keyword research to discover growth opportunities and monitor performance.

• Analyze website analytics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and create simple dashboards or summary reports.

• Support data analysis for marketing campaigns, content performance, and business operations.

• Aid in testing, documenting, and iterating on new data and AI workflows as they are developed.

• - **Nice to have**

• Previous internship or project experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or marketing analytics.

• Familiarity with web analytics and marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, Search Console, Looker Studio, or similar platforms).

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio.

• Experience working with SEO tools or keyword platforms.

• Experience collaborating in remote or hybrid teams (Slack, Zoom, project management boards).
