Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain Power BI dashboards and business reports across various departments.

• Collaborate with business users to comprehend reporting needs and effectively translate them into comprehensive dashboards and analytics solutions.

• Generate reports related to trading activities, client performance, sales performance, revenue, deposits, withdrawals, account statuses, and operational KPIs.

• Develop clean and scalable data models in Power BI utilizing Power Query and DAX.

• Ensure that reports are accurate, consistent, and aligned with business definitions and KPIs.

• Assist Finance, Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Management teams with their reporting and data analysis needs.

• Validate data quality and investigate discrepancies such as mismatched figures, missing data, or incorrect calculations.

• Collaborate with data engineering or database teams to comprehend data sources and enhance reporting reliability.

• Optimize Power BI reports for improved performance, usability, and refresh efficiency.

• Document report logic, KPIs, data sources, and business definitions.

• Provide support for ad hoc analyses and business requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in Power BI reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics.

• Prior experience in a trading, brokerage, fintech, financial markets, investment, or similar financial services company is essential.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

• In-depth knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and report performance optimization.

• Solid understanding of trading business concepts such as trades, accounts, clients, instruments, deposits, withdrawals, commissions, spreads, revenue, sales attribution, and client segmentation.

• Experience in creating reports for multiple business departments, including Sales, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Executive Management.

• Proficient SQL skills for querying, validating, and analyzing data.

• Capability to grasp business requirements and translate them into impactful dashboards.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify data accuracy prior to report publication.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact directly with business stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple reporting requests effectively.
