This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives by gathering and analyzing requirements from relevant stakeholders (business users, data engineers, data scientists, etc.).
• Operationalize business inquiries through data utilization.
• Exhibit knowledge of relational databases, data architecture, and data modeling.
• Construct intricate SQL queries to resolve business inquiries.
• Create conceptual data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and business process models.
• Transform and cleanse data using tools such as R, SQL, or Python.
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate data insights to clients effectively.
• Develop and manage dashboards (using drag and drop) to narrate regular information reports and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Foster trust and respect, build relationships, and cultivate rapport with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Document data analysis processes and their outcomes.
• Apply industry or subject matter expertise (e.g., finance, employment, hospitality, web analytics).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Preferred experience with cloud analytics platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Preferred understanding of statistics and experience utilizing statistical software for data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of reporting and presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Practical experience with tools that assist clients in making data-driven choices.
• Knowledge and practice of core Agile values and principles is advantageous.
• Proactive approach to learning new strategies and trends for continuous personal development analytically, technically, and technologically.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
