This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Analyze comprehensive and integrated datasets to derive insights that influence business decisions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to recognize value, create solutions, and provide insights aimed at reducing care costs and enhancing clinical outcomes.
• Interpret and analyze claims, provider, member, and encounter data.
• Identify and evaluate the business implications of emerging trends.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot intricate SQL, Microsoft Excel, and analytics-tool scripts and reports.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of process improvements while identifying opportunities for automation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of data discrepancies, presenting findings and solutions to leadership and clients.
• Oversee multiple data review processes and tasks within established timelines.
• Utilize quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation skills to comprehend customer interactions with analytic products.
• Collaborate across functions and communicate findings and insights to non-technical business stakeholders.
• Engage with customers and business partners to collect requirements and validate outcomes.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior analysts.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with large databases, data verification, and data management, or 2 years of IT experience.
• Healthcare analytics experience is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL and querying languages.
• Familiarity with Python and R is preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis is preferred.
• Preferred familiarity with modern business intelligence and visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience in emerging trend analysis, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, and/or ROI evaluation is preferred.
• Understanding of claims payment, utilization management, provider/vendor contracts, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare is desired.
