Data Analyst II, Core Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain interactive reports and dashboards, developing data models from a variety of data sources.

• Examine historical data to generate valuable insights and offer actionable recommendations that align with key priorities for stakeholders across all levels.

• Cultivate a thorough understanding of Alma’s business and data to facilitate more informed decision-making. Become the go-to expert for locating data to address business challenges within your area of expertise.

• Actively seek out opportunities to enhance efficiency in existing processes.

• Assist in supporting and executing the BI team’s mission and strategy.

• Serve as a bridge for data communication between the business and Engineering, advocating for and prioritizing enhancements in our data capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, ideally accustomed to adapting to change in a fast-paced startup environment.

• You are proficient in SQL, as you will utilize it daily at an intermediate level to directly query data from our data warehouse. Ideal candidates will have experience with dbt or data modeling.

• You have familiarity with BI tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Lightdash, or similar). You are beginning to explore and harness AI to streamline your workflows.

• You are naturally inquisitive and a self-starter who consistently asks questions and tackles ambiguous problems by analyzing data with meticulous attention to detail.

• You are capable of communicating complex ideas to a diverse range of stakeholders.
