Data Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, acquire, compile, and compare data from both public and proprietary sources.

• Carry out data cleanup, processing, verification, and upload to enterprise and relational database management systems.

• Execute technical workflows.

• Document project data workflows, sources, and limitations.

• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of data.

• Advocate for and promote data stewardship, governance, and integrity.

• Assist in the development and implementation of relational database management systems.

• Support the development, automation, and implementation of data workflows.

• Create and configure tools for field data collection or review based on project requirements.

• Conduct data extraction, transformation, loading, and visualizations.

• Improve existing systems and workflows with customized tools.

• Extract data from image and PDF formats.

• Develop data tables and reporting products.

• Evaluate data processing for efficiency.

• Collaborate with laboratories to manage electronic data deliverables for database import.

• Adhere to safety rules, guidelines, and standards; engage in pre-task planning; report safety issues.

• Uphold quality standards across all projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, data science, environmental science, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience with database management systems is required.

• Familiarity with relational databases and various programming languages is essential.

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be necessary.
