Data Analyst, ECP Insights

📋 Description

• Manage client-focused analyses and dashboards from initiation to delivery, ensuring a seamless process.

• Conduct discovery sessions with clients to comprehend their underlying requirements, suggest solutions, and outline deliverables.

• Utilize client feedback to prioritize the reporting roadmap effectively.

• Create both reusable standard reports and custom client-specific reporting solutions.

• Develop SQL and Python or PySpark queries against extensive, multi-tenant datasets in Databricks.

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to contribute dbt models when transformations are required upstream.

• Clarify coverage, limitations, and methodologies to clients, ensuring transparency.

• Take responsibility for the accuracy of delivered work.

• Work in partnership with product, data engineering, and customer-focused teams to transform recurring requests into product features.

• Manage protected health information in compliance with HIPAA and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Proven experience in independently developing and delivering analyses or reports utilizing large, complex datasets with SQL and Python or PySpark.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools in daily tasks, such as Claude Code or Cursor.

• Proficient in SQL, including expertise in joins, window functions, and optimizing queries on large tables.

• Working knowledge of Databricks or significant experience with similar platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Spark.

• Experience in presenting your work to audiences unfamiliar with the project, preferably external clients.

• Background in using version control systems on shared codebases; familiarity with GitHub is essential.

• A proven history of managing projects from start to finish.

• Experience with dbt is a plus.

• Familiarity with creating reports for multiple clients on shared infrastructure is desirable.

• Experience in the healthcare sector, senior living, or another regulated data environment is advantageous.

• Knowledge of BI and dashboarding tools is a bonus.
