This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with the Snowflake migration: Review and perform quality assurance on existing Redshift dashboards and reports, validate logic against new dbt models, and facilitate a seamless transition.

• Create business-oriented dashboards: Design user-friendly, self-service reports in Hex that provide marketing, finance, and sales teams with essential insights.

• Define metrics: Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business terminology into clearly defined metrics and dimensions, and document them for collective understanding.

• Work alongside the data team: Engage in a sprint-driven workflow with our Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI & Automation Lead, and Head of Data.

• Write and manage SQL and dbt models: Produce clean, well-documented transformations that support gold-layer business reporting.

• Integrate with business teams: Anticipate inquiries from marketing, finance, and sales — delivering data products proactively before requests arise.

• Promote data accessibility: Develop dashboards and self-service tools that minimize ad hoc requests and empower stakeholders to independently find answers.

• Narrate insights through data: Present findings in a manner that is clear, engaging, and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Conduct analyses and experiments: Design and interpret A/B tests, create forecasting models, and implement statistical methods (regression, cohort analysis, confidence intervals) to support business decisions.

• Utilize AI for enhanced productivity: Employ AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to expedite analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and broaden capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or in a similar position.

• Strong SQL expertise: You write clean, advanced SQL including CTEs, window functions, and optimized queries that are easy for others to read and maintain.

• Proficiency in dbt: You have experience working with dbt in a production environment and are knowledgeable about modeling best practices.

• Visualization skills: You have created dashboards and reports in Hex, Looker, Tableau, or a similar BI tool, focusing on clarity in design rather than just completeness.

• Effective stakeholder communication: You can connect with both technical and non-technical audiences, articulate your methodology, and present findings confidently.

• Understanding of statistical principles: You are familiar with hypothesis testing, A/B test design, regression analysis, and confidence intervals, and can apply these concepts accurately.

• Experience with forecasting: You have built or contributed to forecasting models utilizing cohort trends, maturity curves, or regression techniques.

• Proficient in AI-assisted development: Skilled in utilizing AI tools to enhance work efficiency, debug queries, and quickly learn new technologies.
