This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute precise, highly dependable, and efficient data operations associated with our outreach to high school students and the National College Match.
• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail by thoroughly reviewing, testing, and auditing data tasks (queries, code, models, etc.) to ensure integrity and statistical accuracy.
• Develop, maintain, and review documentation related to QuestBridge data and its associated processes.
• Foster a comprehensive understanding of QuestBridge data to effectively manage and link raw datasets, thereby enhancing programmatic efficiency and impact.
• Enhance operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and proactively implementing workflows, utilizing modern technological tools to automate processes and improve consistency.
• Serve as a versatile analytical resource, providing support for data-related operational duties and ad-hoc requests throughout the organization.
• Assist with various organizational projects, tasks, and objectives as required and assigned.
• Collaborate with fellow QuestBridge staff to annually assess and evaluate student applications for major programs and other opportunities.
• A Bachelor’s degree accompanied by at least 2 years of full-time experience in Data Analytics.
• Demonstrated analytical rigor: Proven ability to apply analytical thinking to program management, uncover data-driven insights, and address complex operational challenges.
• Familiarity with some or all of the following:
• SQL, Tableau: Leveraging knowledge of relational databases and data schemas to compose accurate queries, validate data pipelines, and create precise, high-fidelity dashboards.
• Python, R: Utilizing scripting for data cleaning and analysis automation.
• Git: Experience in version control and collaborative code management.
• Statistics: Applying statistical principles to analyze datasets and validate hypotheses.
• Proven track record of detail-oriented data work: A keen eye for detail, ensuring dataset integrity, script formatting, and report accuracy prior to stakeholder distribution.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Capability to organize workload, prioritize tasks, and independently oversee multiple data projects from conception to timely execution in a dynamic environment.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong capacity to incorporate feedback and translate technical concepts for clarity.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data in the education sector.
• Proven history of high-fidelity, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced setting.
