This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a remote, cross-functional team comprising data analysts, systems analysts, and data scientists.
• Oversee the delivery of data and analytics projects, including dashboards, data products, reports, documentation, platform enhancements, and system upgrades.
• Create and maintain project plans, resource allocations, deliverable timelines, and logs for risks and issues.
• Provide guidance to clients and stakeholders regarding priorities, trade-offs, resource requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Act as the main technical contact for all data, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, present findings, and review deliverables with senior stakeholders.
• Convert business, operational, and policy questions into analytical strategies and data products.
• Supervise the design and deployment of Tableau and/or Power BI dashboards.
• Lead efforts in data preparation, integration, and automation.
• Direct statistical methodologies, modeling, geospatial analysis, and advanced visualization techniques.
• Validate models, metrics, and analytical strategies.
• Pilot new tools, modernize workflows, and advocate for continuous improvement.
• Mentor senior analysts and data scientists, offering technical direction and performance guidance.
• Ensure quality assurance for dashboards, datasets, reports, and technical documentation.
• Manage metadata, data dictionaries, and reference documentation.
• Coordinate leadership reporting, cross-program analyses, and urgent or ad-hoc data requests.
• Suggest the adoption of emerging analytics, visualization, and data platform tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or related field.
• Over 5 years of experience interpreting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data in complex environments.
• More than 3 years of experience managing data, analytics, business intelligence, product, or technical projects.
• At least 3 years of supervisory, team lead, project management, program management, or product management experience.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with remote, cross-functional teams.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Competence in R, Python, or another scripting/statistical language.
• Extensive experience with Tableau.
• Experience in designing and deploying interactive dashboards and self-service analytics solutions.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and modern data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Practical experience in applied statistical analysis and modeling.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data preparation, and production or enterprise data workflows.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies is preferred.
• Power BI experience is preferred.
• Experience with geospatial data, mapping, or spatial analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
• Experience in federal programs, contracting, or consulting is preferred.
