This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
β’ Design and oversee the Central Data Governance Strategy (2026β2028), establishing horizons, priorities, and evolution criteria for both national and international contexts.
β’ Review, approve, and streamline data policies (access, quality, privacy, classification, retention, and cost/efficiency), ensuring regulatory compliance with LGPD and GDPR as they apply to cloud data.
β’ Translate regulatory guidelines into executable controls (policy-as-code) in cooperation with data technical teams.
β’ Serve as a trusted advisor during the migration of the data platform to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring the implementation of best practices for native governance in BigQuery, Dataplex/Data Catalog, IAM, and DLP, in partnership with Google.
β’ Operate the Data Stewardship Program β encompassing selection, onboarding, rituals, calendar, and playbook by domain β and manage adoption metrics (internal NPS, % of active stewards, % of certified data).
β’ Proven experience in migrating or modernizing data platforms to GCP, with hands-on expertise in BigQuery, Dataplex/Data Catalog, IAM, and DLP, focusing on native governance.
β’ Experience in the complete lifecycle of data policies β access, quality, privacy, classification, retention, and cost efficiency β including regulatory approval and application of LGPD/GDPR in cloud environments.
β’ Technical profile capable of integrating governance into practical data architecture: understanding technology environments independently, connecting regulatory controls to real implementations, and guiding execution teams without direct implementation involvement.
β’ Experience with organizational change management (e.g., ADKAR), data literacy programs, and executive communication β including the development of business cases and presentations for senior management.
β’ Ability to define roles and responsibilities and design RACI matrices; skill in leading communities of practice and managing multiple stakeholders.
