This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the complete technical recruitment process for PhD AI/ML positions, including full-time roles and internships, helping to establish a scalable, distributed system that upholds a high standard of quality even under significant volume.
• Collaborate with engineering and data leaders to define role specifications, evaluate capability gaps, and develop hiring strategies across emerging fields such as generative AI, LLMs, NLP, computer vision, and infrastructure automation.
• Continuously track recruiting health metrics to convert complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations in partnership with hiring teams.
• Act as a talent business partner to executive leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams (PBPs, People Analytics, Engineering) to anticipate needs, secure resources, and enhance hiring velocity and quality.
• Create, implement, and consistently improve scalable, end-to-end PhD hiring programs that provide an exceptional, human-centered candidate experience from the initial contact through to conversion and onboarding.
• Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional partners to execute the PhD strategy, which includes ML conferences, campus strategies, academic collaborations, and innovative outreach initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert on AI/ML PhD market trends and cutting-edge sourcing techniques.
• Ensure operational excellence is prioritized in your processes, influencing and enhancing workflows to enable the team to operate more efficiently and effectively at scale.
• A minimum of 6 years of full-lifecycle technical recruiting experience in a dynamic environment, with a proven track record in Technical or University Recruiting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recruitment pipelines while providing quality results and advocating for a best-in-class candidate experience.
• Proven expertise in data-driven decision-making; strong understanding of recruiting data models, measuring ROI, and shaping strategy, ideally within a globally recognized tech company (e.g., AI/ML, SaaS, Gaming, or similar competitive sectors).
• Experience acting as a strategic thought partner to technical leadership, offering structured insights on global AI/ML talent dynamics and influencing long-term hiring strategies.
• A solid history of influencing stakeholders and addressing complex recruiting challenges with creativity and innovation.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to college campuses for various recruiting events (career fairs, info sessions, conferences), subject to health regulations.
