Dari/Pashto VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Possess knowledge of the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Dari/Pashto'.

• More than 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus, but not essential.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is beneficial.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
