Dari VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretations of the messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Dari'

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not required.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, though not essential.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
