DaaS Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain cloud data platforms and industrial data solutions from end to end.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve customer objectives and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Conduct internal design, system construction, and testing to support the solution roadmap.

• Create and uphold documentation for pre- and post-implementation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Background in delivering customer support within an IT solutions context.

• Understanding of cloud data engineering and concepts related to industrial data systems.

• Experience with cloud products and technologies.

• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Familiarity with time-series data management.

• Awareness of industrial protocols and data historians (e.g., OPC DA/UA, MQTT, Modbus, COM/DCOM).

• Experience with OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System is an advantage.

• Programming proficiency in various languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and architectures is a plus.

• Experience in providing training to small groups is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Eagerness and capability to quickly learn new tools.

• Empathy towards customers reporting software-related issues.

• Understanding of operations in the energy sector, especially in oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical settings is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a virtual team environment under supervision and a willingness to support colleagues.
