This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide on-site case assistance in the operating room or hybrid OR for robotic cardiac procedures and related surgical technologies.
• Act as a clinical authority for product configuration, troubleshooting, and optimal application during live procedures.
• Ensure adherence to clinical and safety guidelines.
• Increase the user base by collaborating with CVSM to establish a training pipeline for new surgeons.
• Exhibit expertise across various technology platforms to effectively facilitate the adoption of Multiport and Single Port da Vinci systems, digital solutions, and customer requirements.
• Advocate for advanced instruments and accessories to improve surgical outcomes and support surgeon independence.
• Work with cross-functional internal teams to identify and seize opportunities to broaden the use of da Vinci® Surgical Systems and enhance Intuitive’s partnerships with healthcare facilities.
• Deliver training for physicians and care team members on indications, proper utilization, and best practices.
• Assist with new site launches by providing onboarding programs and in-services.
• Serve as a resource for ongoing education and updates on products.
• Design and implement customized da Vinci® pathways for surgeons and surgical teams to ensure proficient and independent system usage, offering recurring training for care teams as necessary.
• Maintain the flexibility to support after-hours procedures and offer weekend assistance as dictated by the territory’s adoption of robotic surgery.
• Collaborate with the local sales team, leadership, customer training, and business partners to execute clinical plans that achieve system autonomy within a suitable timeframe.
• Provide clinical insights to the commercial team to guide strategy and stimulate business growth.
• Engage in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.
• Facilitate the adoption of our digital solutions by enhancing customer infrastructure and capabilities.
• Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams (sales, marketing, R&D).
• Stay updated on clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment protocols.
• Assist with clinical trial support when necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in a scientific or business discipline).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cardiac-related clinical role (electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, or critical care).
• Previous experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure clinical environments (OR/cath lab).
• Adaptability to evolving technologies and complex procedures.
• Team-oriented with a commercial perspective.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 75%).
• Proficiency in both English and German is required.
