
Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization – Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acts as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems along with all related cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Implements DoW/DLA cybersecurity protocols to authorize information systems, sustain the authorization of information systems, or serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for systems in the authorization process.
• Possesses knowledge of how security controls outlined in NIST 800-53 relate to the assessment and authorization process for a large organization’s IT infrastructure, such as DLA, which includes a combination of large and small enclaves, Cloud Hosted Services, Operational Technology, AIS applications, and outsourced IT processes.
• Evaluates the residual risk of an identified vulnerability (e.g., non-compliant security control) and assesses the potential impacts on the system's current or future authorization.
• Updates senior management on the status or findings of an information system involved in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Certification and Accreditation (C&A).
• In-depth understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the NIST Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes.
• Background in DoD or Federal Government cybersecurity initiatives.
• Experience in assessing security controls and performing authorization reviews for large, complex information systems.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 approved IAM Level III certification.
• Active Secret clearance, adjudicated within the past five (5) years.
