This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and enhance enterprise cybersecurity architectures to safeguard mission-critical systems and data across global IT environments.
• Create reference architectures, security patterns, and technical roadmaps that comply with federal cybersecurity standards, DoW guidance, and industry best practices.
• Convert mission, business, and compliance requirements into secure and resilient architectural solutions.
• Develop comprehensive security solutions spanning network, endpoint, identity, cloud, and application layers.
• Lead the design and optimization of SIEM, log management, endpoint protection, and supporting data-pipeline services.
• Establish technical requirements, security controls, and implementation standards consistent with Zero Trust and risk-management frameworks.
• Oversee the configuration and operation of cybersecurity tools, including logging strategies, detection use cases, dashboards, and alerting logic.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure effective monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
• Suggest improvements and modernization initiatives for current security capabilities.
• Integrate RMF, DoW, and organization-specific compliance and risk-management requirements into architectures.
• Assist in the development of System Security Plans and accreditation artifacts.
• Utilize eMASS and execute DISA STIGs, SCAP/SCC scans, and related tools.
• Produce and update architectural diagrams, technical standards, design documents, and decision records.
• Convey cybersecurity concepts to leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Coordinate with client representatives, program leadership, and cross-functional IT teams.
• Mentor cybersecurity engineers and analysts while reviewing designs and configurations.
• Contribute to standards, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Act as a technical resource for customer-facing architecture discussions and risk assessments.
• Serve as an escalation point for intricate technical issues.
• Provide support for periodic after-hours activities related to troubleshooting, critical changes, or incident response.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, which must be maintained.
• Current possession of Top Secret clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information assurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or information assurance roles.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions and architectures in complex environments.
• A minimum of 2 years of Red Hat Linux engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of Windows Server administration experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with SIEM platforms, preferably Splunk or Elastic Search.
• Experience with SIEM data ingestion, correlation, and use case development.
• Familiarity with applying DISA STIGs, utilizing SCAP/SCC scanning tools, and engaging with CCRI and RMF processes.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or BASH scripting is highly preferred.
• Understanding of TLS and SSL certificate management and integration.
• Knowledge or experience with VMware ESXi, NetApp, or SAN architectures.
• Baseline certification(s) that meet minimum DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II are required prior to starting, such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
• Additional computing environment certification must be obtained within six months of hire, based on position designation.
• Compliance with DoW 8140 certification standards when implemented is necessary.
