Cyber/IT Technician – Clinical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist clinical engineering with the management of the Connected Device Inventory (CDI), ensuring that clinical equipment systems are recorded, integrated, and properly maintained.

• Aid in integration projects, network configurations, and troubleshooting for medical devices and IT systems.

• Offer technical expertise to minimize risks associated with networked and integrated medical devices.

• Create, uphold, and adhere to procedures and documentation ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.

• Review and document firmware configurations for medical devices prior to deployment.

• Track software revisions, upgrades, and changes to medical equipment systems.

• Carry out cybersecurity field operations, including vulnerability assessments, incident responses, and compliance assistance.

• Assist with HIPAA regulations, privacy measures, backup, recovery, and data protection efforts.

• Contribute to the planning, maintenance, and management of LAN/WAN-based medical equipment network devices.

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and client IT departments.

• Prepare technical updates, documentation, and input for reports.

• Address incidents and issues in line with established processes.

• Maintain knowledge articles and create training materials.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service performance and reliability.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technology, biomedical, clinical engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 1 year of experience supporting cybersecurity or similar activities.

• In-depth knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, repair, and clinical applications.

• Familiarity with networking technologies and protocols such as HL7, DICOM, and TCP/IP.

• Experience with healthcare information systems.

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations, industry security standards, and regulatory guidelines.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical asset management systems like RSQ and ServiceNow.

• Experience in supporting projects, vendor coordination, and cross-functional teamwork.

• An Associate’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Capability to work onsite.

• Industry-standard certifications such as A+, Net+, or Sec+ are advantageous.
