Cyber Security Engineer – Incident Response, Crisis Simulation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Leveraging expertise in blue teaming engagements and methodologies to develop, enhance, and author defensive security labs, challenges, and online educational content on the Immersive One platform.

• Create multi-format educational materials utilizing diverse teaching strategies such as practical exercises, questions, and gamification.

• Evaluate Blue Team labs and ranges to verify their operational effectiveness.

• Investigate recent crises and incidents, compiling findings to produce a comprehensive catalogue of crisis simulation content.

• Transform technical research into clear and concise content suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with the broader Product team on new initiatives and product innovations, determining the best strategies for implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in the defensive security domain, particularly in Incident Response or tabletop exercises.

• Extensive knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application in assisting organizations in addressing potential threats.

• Strong technical proficiency in networking, computing, and cybersecurity principles.

• Ability to utilize examples and analogies to demystify complex topics; your content will educate real-world users to recognize and counter the latest threats, necessitating an understanding of the target audience for crafting realistic simulations.

• A proactive attitude and methodology are equally essential as technical capabilities for this position; you should be someone who enjoys solving intricate challenges and discovering solutions. You will be an innate problem solver and 'tinkerer' who thrives on prototyping and iteration.
