Cyber Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist with the onboarding, configuration, optimization, and operational implementation of Product Security and Cloud Security tools.

• Integrate security tools with CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, cloud platforms, Splunk, ServiceNow, M365, and other enterprise systems.

• Support AppOmni SSPM activities, which encompass SaaS posture visibility, AI application discovery, reporting, and platform growth.

• Aid in the detection of secrets through Cycode, track remediation, conduct root-cause analysis, implement preventive controls, and generate reports.

• Facilitate the operationalization of Wiz, Checkmarx, JFrog/Xray, AppScan, Prisma Cloud, GCP Model Armor, and associated security functionalities.

• Provide assistance for cloud security controls, policy formulation, deployment pipelines, and exception support for Azure, GCP, and AWS.

• Create reports, dashboards, metrics, and executive summaries that address tool health, risk posture, findings, remediation, and operational advancements.

• Support the management of rules and policy lifecycle, conduct tool access reviews, maintain vendor interactions, QBRs, and health-check sessions.

• Troubleshoot tool outages, scanning issues, integration problems, and user-reported incidents.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, knowledge transfer documentation, escalation paths, and process guides.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security outcomes, minimize manual tasks, and strengthen operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• A demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth through advanced technical training, certifications, engagement with security communities, or contributions to cybersecurity and cloud security best practices.

• Experience working with AppOmni, Cycode, Checkmarx, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, JFrog/Xray, AppScan, BurpSuite, NowSecure, or GCP Model Armor.

• Familiarity with integrating security tools with Splunk, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, GitHub, M365, or cloud platforms.

• Background in AI security controls, Model Armor, AI application discovery, or AI posture management.

• Experience in vendor management, QBRs, rule-release reviews, and discussions regarding tool roadmaps.

• Experience in regulated enterprise environments with expectations for audit, compliance, change management, and access reviews.

• A preferred master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Preferred industry-recognized security and cloud certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or equivalent.

• Proven experience applying industry security frameworks, cloud security best practices, and emerging technologies within complex enterprise settings.

• Access to home internet with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.

• Capability to work from a dedicated area without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be necessary.
