This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Implement daily operations for a designated segment of the vulnerability management program.

• Oversee scanning results, vendor advisories, threat feeds, and open-source intelligence for relevant and emerging vulnerabilities.

• Elevate higher-severity or unclear findings to senior analysts and team leads.

• Confirm findings against advisories, product versions, and asset context, documenting conclusions and audit-compliant evidence.

• Generate summary reports for business units and develop remediation action plans that include owners, deadlines, and approval processes.

• Integrate newly added systems and evaluate their findings.

• Create and oversee remediation tickets within enterprise ITSM platforms.

• Determine asset ownership utilizing configuration management data.

• Ensure follow-up and escalate remediation efforts until confirmed closure.

• Validate remediation through credentialed re-scans or evidence from business units.

• Assess remediation against the necessary patch or configuration state and compile closure evidence.

• Assist with risk acceptance and exception intake, along with routing, extensions, and closure processes.

• Aid in critical and emerging vulnerability escalation and facilitate coordinated response meetings.

• Keep accurate records of platforms and supporting systems while performing data quality reviews.

• Manage recurring remediation trackers, facilitate business unit communications, deliver validation readouts, and produce leadership reports and executive presentations.

• Enhance operational communications for clarity, tone, and audience engagement.

• Utilize authorized AI-assisted tools for research, drafting, summarization, and documentation, ensuring human oversight.

• Develop proficiency in program workflows and tools while supporting additional activities and projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, IT operations, SOC operations, technical writing, communications, program support, or a related discipline.

• Relevant internship experience, coursework, or completion of a cybersecurity boot camp will be taken into account.

• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including vulnerabilities, patching, CVEs, CVSS scoring, and risk principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to produce clear, organized, audience-appropriate written materials and audit-ready documentation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependable follow-through.

• Ability to manage multiple active workstreams and meet deadlines in a structured, dynamic operational setting.

• Capability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Eagerness to learn and consistently apply new tools, platforms, and workflows.

• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and independently utilizing and refining prompts.

• An Associate’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Preferred experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.

• Preferred experience with enterprise ITSM or ticketing platforms like ServiceNow or Jira.

• Preferred history of producing structured written materials, executive presentations, or recurring operational reports.

• Preferred familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Preferred exposure to regulated industries, including NERC-CIP environments.

• Preferred cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CySA+.

• Preferred knowledge of prioritizing findings based on asset criticality, exposure, and compensating controls.

• Preferred experience with regulatory audit evidence handling, including NERC CIP or BCSI.
