This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of technical solution requirements for enterprise-level data-driven information systems.
• Develop technical designs, select products and vendors, and create application and technical architectures.
• Provide expertise in technology and platforms while leading the technical decision-making process.
• Manage intricate technology implementations and continuously optimize and refactor systems.
• Ensure technical design and architecture align with business growth and strategic direction.
• Contribute to product roadmaps, backlogs, success metrics, and user stories.
• Maintain the architecture of systems and solutions for extensive data processing and reporting.
• Design sophisticated data solutions, data-centric applications, and Big Data cloud architecture.
• Create solutions utilizing Agile, AnalyticOps, DataOps, and DevSecOps hyper-automation methodologies.
• Drive ongoing innovation and improvement in projects or programs.
• Act as the final-tier subject matter expert while remaining actively involved in execution.
• Collaborate with the program Chief Architect and potentially enhance the Deputy Chief Architect role for AI implementation and adoption.
• Lead and manage individuals and teams through coaching, mentoring, one-on-one meetings, and career development support.
• Configure enterprise platforms related to AI feature management, governance, and model orchestration.
• Maintain comprehensive AI governance frameworks covering policy, risk, bias/fairness, audit logging, transparency, immutability, and compliance.
• Integrate platforms with CI/CD pipelines, identity/access controls, APIs, repositories, and monitoring systems.
• Implement secure enterprise deployment models for PII/PHI, access control, and authorization.
• Train teams and end users, develop onboarding and adoption materials, and lead workshops.
• Build consensus among stakeholders in data science, DevSecOps, compliance, business, and end-user domains.
• Evaluate and recommend generative AI, LLM, and agentic frameworks.
• Design, prototype, and iterate AI agent workflows and proofs of concept.
• Monitor emerging generative AI and agentic technologies, tools, vendors, and practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical field.
• Alternatively, ten years of general information technology experience and a minimum of four years of specialized experience; degree is not mandatory.
• At least 10 years of experience leading system architecture for complex cloud-based Data Pipeline and Analytics systems.
• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in data-centric software development and complex architecture design.
• Strong background in software engineering, emphasizing best practices and iterative/continuous engineering principles.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Hadoop, EMR, Spark, Redshift, or similar technologies.
• Experience applying AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, LLMs, or model orchestration within enterprise-scale architectures.
• Knowledge of data augmentation, data quality analysis, data analytics, data profiling, data algorithms, data maturity models, and data strategy.
• Expertise in designing secure data solutions involving PHI and PII along with associated governance.
• Experience in collaborating with customers and stakeholders to present solutions and encourage adoption.
• Ability to design cost-optimized, scalable cloud solutions.
• Capable of resolving architecture issues that impact the scalability and performance of large-scale systems and datasets.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and greenfield project development.
• Proficiency in aligning consensus across multiple interested or affected parties.
• Diverse, outcome-driven consulting experience in various client environments.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working within an Agile or SAFe environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must be a resident of the United States.
• Desired: Experience in Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare, commercial insurance, or CMS.
• Desired: Certifications in Databricks, Python, R, or AWS.
• Desired: Demonstrated applied AI outcomes that lead to significant and measurable improvements or intended results.
• Desired: Certifications or training in AI/ML architecture design and implementation.
• Desired: Experience in generative AI application development or deployment, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Desired: Familiarity with AI orchestration and vector database tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or Pinecone.
• Desired: Experience in evaluating or piloting MCP, A2A, or similar AI agent protocols and standards.
