Customer Service Specialist – Provider Enrollment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist applicants and enrolled providers in accessing home and community-based waiver services.

• Offer education and resources related to provider requirements.

• Evaluate and review applications, requesting necessary documents to complete them.

• Address incoming calls, messages, and emails from both applicants and providers.

• Collaborate with the project management team to direct HCBS-unrelated inquiries to the suitable department or team.

• Document clear and concise notes summarizing interactions and communications.

• Assess applications and inform project management of potential compliance referrals.

• Review and return applications that lack necessary documentation.

• Submit complete applications for quality assurance and review.

• Conduct outreach via phone and email to aid in the submission of application documents and to complete applications.

• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

• Capability to manage the review and follow-up on over 40 applications with diverse document requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to provide clear guidance on documents, requirements, and subsequent steps.

• Capacity to work independently while closely coordinating with a remote team.

• Proficiency in using Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

• Willingness to learn new systems and processes comfortably.

• At least two years of paid experience with critical care providers, public health providers, or those serving children, older adults, individuals with traumatic brain injuries, or persons with developmental disabilities.

• At least one year of experience should involve provider monitoring, Medicaid or third-party payer provider billing, or provider training.

• At least one year of experience must be within a home health program, community health program, hospital, private practice, publicly funded institution, long-term care program, mental health program, community-based social service program, or another program that addresses special populations.

• Alternatively, 36 months of paid experience working with providers may replace the requirement for a bachelor's degree and two years of paid experience.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM Eastern is necessary.

• A bachelor's degree and two years of paid provider experience are preferred.
