Customer Service Representative I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and billing transactions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

• Engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders when further information is required.

• Keep thorough policy documentation and update customer information as needed.

• Rate endorsements and transactions across multiple lines of business.

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers.

• Coordinate efforts with various functions within the company.

• Execute pre-underwriting tasks for policy transactions following company procedures and underwriting guidelines.

• Complete necessary preparatory work.

• Order essential reports for new business, renewals, and endorsements, including CLUE, MVR, SOCRECARD, and DADS.

• Ensure productivity and quality standards set by management are met.

• Carry out tasks under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate’s degree is preferred; insurance training or completion of basic insurance courses is advantageous.

• Less than 2 years of experience in an agency or insurance company is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Strong customer service capabilities.

• Effective problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

• Professional demeanor is required.

• Adaptability to changing environments.

• Proficient in processing insurance transactions in line with established policies and procedures.

• Capacity to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

• Availability for full-time, non-exempt, overtime-eligible work.
