This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within a call center environment by handling and responding to telephone inquiries from policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and others.
• Offer information and assistance related to Medicare Supplement and Life Policies.
• Confirm benefits and claims status by accessing and updating data in the software system in accordance with company response standards.
• Investigate company records to address insurance inquiries, execute routine transactions, and retrieve results from an online terminal.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the company's products and services.
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and regulations regarding private health information.
• Communicate written and oral updates concerning inquiry status and resolutions.
• Initiate and complete Call Tracks, checklists, and related clerical duties.
• Be available to work various shifts as required.
• A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required.
• At least six months of relevant call center experience and/or training is necessary.
• Must possess the ability and flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Typing proficiency of 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy is required.
• A collaborative team spirit is essential.
• Capability to work remotely and independently is expected.
• Must pass background screening and pre- and post-hire drug tests, including THC.
• Verification of high school diploma, GED, or college degree may be requested.
• Timely responses from three professional references are required.
• A dedicated remote work environment free from distractions and clutter is necessary.
• Reliable internet connectivity is essential.
• Access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication is required.
• Ability to read, hear, speak, use a keyboard, reason, and solve problems is expected.
• Capability to perform prolonged sitting, computer work, and phone usage is necessary.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds occasionally is required.
• Accurate data entry skills in a Windows-based environment are essential.
• Intermediate computer skills are expected.
• Basic skills in math, English spelling, and grammar are necessary.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos is required.
• Ability to write simple correspondence is necessary.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees in one-on-one and small group settings is required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is expected.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs is necessary.
• Ability to apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions and resolve standard problems is required.
• Preferred: An associate’s degree.
• Preferred: Experience with Long Term Care Insurance in a call center setting.
• Preferred: Two years of related call center and customer service experience.
