This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Executes tasks of moderate to high complexity associated with both hospital and physician accounts.
• Manages a significant volume of incoming calls.
• Also responsible for making outbound calls related to self-pay follow-ups on accounts.
• Aids patients with information requests, complaints, and issue resolution.
• Accountable for data analysis and interpretation across all revenue cycle functions to identify reasons for denials, non-payment, and overpayment.
• Records billing activities on patient accounts in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma / highest degree attained.
• Experience: Two (2) years of billing, bookkeeping, and/or accounting experience.
