This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.
• Making outbound calls to connect with patients who have recently been discharged from the ER
• Assisting with inbound calls from patients interested in our program
• Helping schedule appointments, addressing patient inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate UHG departments when necessary
• Supporting administrative tasks to facilitate patient care coordination
• Collaborating with team members and our provider network to uphold an exemplary model centered on patient care and high-quality service
• Gaining expertise in our software solutions, including but not limited to EMR, Slack, and Five9.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Capability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written formats at a high school graduate level
• Ability to analyze problems and propose effective solutions
• Demonstrated customer service skills in interactions with patients, families, and staff, even in high-pressure and busy situations
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively as a vital part of the patient care team
• Skill in following instructions and adhering to standard operating procedures
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent documented training (such as military medic, EMT, etc.)
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare-related customer support
• Experience in Telehealth is preferred
