This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.
• Make outbound calls to patients who have recently been discharged from the emergency room.
• Manage inbound calls from patients expressing interest in the program.
• Assist in scheduling appointments for patients.
• Address patient inquiries effectively.
• Redirect patients to the appropriate UHG departments when necessary.
• Execute administrative tasks that support patient care coordination.
• Work collaboratively with team members and the provider network to ensure outstanding patient care and high-quality service.
• Develop expertise in software solutions such as EMR, Slack, and Five9.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Capable of speaking and writing clearly at a high school graduate level.
• Skilled in problem-solving and identifying effective solutions.
• Strong customer service abilities in interactions with patients, families, and staff, even in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a patient care team.
• Competent in following instructions and adhering to standard operating procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent training, such as military medic or EMT.
• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare-related customer support is preferred.
• Experience in telehealth is desirable.
• Applicants must have the authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Capability to work at a computer terminal for extended durations and meet physical requirements, including lifting light objects up to 20 pounds.
