Customer Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and implement high-quality production integrations linking Mia with EHR systems, practice management software, and data warehouses.

• Develop strong data pipelines utilizing APIs, middleware, and various methods of data exchange.

• Construct reusable integration modules to expedite future deployments.

• Manage technical configurations for new clients and resolve issues during implementation.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with customer engineering and IT teams.

• Act as the main technical liaison for integration inquiries and incident resolution.

• Convert clinical and business workflows into precise technical specifications.

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for production environments.

• Generate and update technical documentation, integration playbooks, and training resources.

• Recognize opportunities for improving and automating integration processes over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or integration tasks within production settings.

• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining authentic integrations — including data pipelines and API integrations.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP), webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT).

• Excellent communication skills — the candidate must feel at ease leading technical discussions with clients and representing Hello Patient with professionalism.

• Capability to work autonomously, juggle multiple projects, and excel in a dynamic startup atmosphere.

• Understanding of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) or EHR integrations is preferred.

• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment or startup is preferred.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or containerization (Docker) is preferred.

• An AI-native mindset — comfortable working with AI tools and platforms is preferred.
