Customer Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade ATMs and related self-service devices to fulfill customer and business needs.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and system problems using established protocols and information provided by customers.

• Oversee customer incidents from initial assignment to resolution, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs.

• Keep precise electronic service records, call notes, equipment activity reports, and inventory transactions through authorized mobile applications.

• Cultivate and sustain positive customer relationships by delivering timely updates, addressing concerns, and escalating issues as necessary.

• Execute multi-vendor maintenance, equipment modifications, certifications, and business-required technical training.

• Travel extensively throughout South Africa to assist with service calls, installations, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.

• Participate in on-call rotations, weekend shifts, public holiday support, and standby schedules as dictated by business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or an equivalent qualification in Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, technical support, hardware maintenance, or equipment repair.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical, computer, or self-service technology equipment.

• A valid driver's license with the capability and willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple service calls, and fulfill customer service level agreements.

• Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, networking, diagnostic tools, and mobile service applications.

• Willingness to engage in standby rosters, shift work, and coverage during weekends and public holidays.
